One Small Act

Years ago, I went to visit a convalescent hospital. The patients there were extremely ill and for most, it was their "last stop." There was a common area and in it was a piano. I lifted up the piano bench and saw a book of old songs. I sat down and started to play and sing them. There were songs like "You Are My Sunshine," "The Sidewalks of New York," "Bicycle Built for Two," and more. Before long, a large crowd had gathered around me and began to sing along. When I finished, a woman in her 50s came up to me in tears. She said, "My mother had a stroke two years ago and has never said a word in all that time. Today she sang with you!" I started to cry, too. You never know how one simple act can make a difference. Don't underestimate what you are capable of. XO Cindy

My Angel Story

Today my new ebook, Love You Forever, came out...Something amazing happened...But first, I must explain. My father passed away 27 years ago. All of my life, he had a particular way of knocking on the door, whether it was at our house growing up, or if it was if he came to visit at my house in California when I was an adult. Well, I was upstairs today. I now live in New Orleans. Someone came to my front door--AND they used the SPECIAL knock that my dad used to use!!! I about fainted. It was SO loud that my little dog started barking like crazy. I went downstairs to answer it and no one was there. To me, it was a sure sign that loved ones can "knock on heaven's door" to reach us!!! XO Cindy P.S.
